I used the sentiment analysis to quickly analyze W.H. Auden's poem "As I Walked Out One Evening"
The tool tracked positive tones when the author was being ironic. So as helpful as this tool can be at quickly understanding the positive and negative shifts throughout the poem, it still cannot map the voice of human heartbreak. In this screenshot, for example, "love" conquers "crooked". It brings into question if love is really a positive thing or a negative thing. Whether it's heartbreakingly positive or negative, yet hopeful.
