"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist."
- Oscar Wilde
Cassie is a third year undergraduate student studying at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is pursuing a B.A in Computer Science with a Computational Economics Emphasis and an English minor. She is originally from Orange County, California.
Cassie is currently employed at the South Hall Administrative Support Center as an Administrative Assistant. However, she has an affinity for working with and interacting with children as evident through her previous employment as a teacher's assistant at the Orfalea Children's Center on campus and as a playroom volunteer at the Children's Hospital of Orange County back home. She enjoys witnessing and assisting in the development of children's autonomy and interacting with their individual personalities. In the future, she either hopes to pursue a career involving the fusion of computer science and economics to better analyze economic and business trends. She is also pursuing an English minor in hopes of double majoring because she recently has developed a love for learning about literature, history, and the human condition.
On campus, Cassie is involved in the Vietnamese Student Association as the culture night director and is looking forward to produce this year's cultural production at Campbell Hall. In her spare time, Cassie enjoys cooking, reading, martial arts and engaging herself in a multitude of different leisurely activities (literally she will try anything) as she enjoys learning new skills and takes everything in as an experience.
