   Lacey Smith is beginning her 4th year at the University of California, Santa Barbara and is studying both Spanish and English literature. She grew up in a little town called Oakhurst that lies 10 minutes from the southern entrance into Yosemite National Park. Due to this, she enjoys nature, as well as tourism and the benefits from meeting people from around the world. Smith also just returned from studying abroad at La Universidad de Chile in Santiago, Chile a little over a month ago and is currently experiencing reverse culture-shock.

   Throughout Smith's years at UCSB she has held numerous different positions, mainly within Housing & Residential Services, but also within the Disabled Students Program. She served as a Desk Attendant her first year and was then a Resident Assistant her second year before going abroad. Smith has also worked at Abercrombie & Fitch for almost 3 years. 

   Although Smith studies Spanish and English literature, she plans to pursue a career in the entertainment industry following graduation from UCSB in hope to make a living through music. Smith's childhood and young adulthood was filled with musical theater, therefore a life in music is something she has had for most of her life, and she can not dream to do anything else.
