Kathleen is back for one last hooray here at UCSB. She walked in June 2014 with a degree in Creative Writing from the College of Creative Studies, but found out this summer that one class did not count toward the major (whoops). She focused on short story, novella and poetry writing while in CCS. Her favorite authors include Toni Morrison, JD Salinger, Eudora Welty, George Eliot and Jane Austen. In (sort-of) postgrad life, she is working full-time in the recruitment department of a software company in Goleta, hiking with her 6 year old American Pitbull, swimming, cooking, painting, going to concerts, reading the books she never had time to in college (HUNGER GAMES), and taking road trips around California whenever she can in her Subaru. http://kathleen-byrne-writing.tumblr.com
