“The secret of happiness is not doing what we like but in liking what we do.”
― J.M. Coetzee
Julian Levy is a Senior English Major with aspirations to write professionally in the field of technology journalism. He was born in Northern California. His hobbies include reading, ceramics, and writing semi-professional bios for college course websites.
Julian’s academic interests include the literary spectrum of early Modernism and Imagist poetry. Julian feels that many of his 4-6 page essays on the subjects have made an incomparable impact on the T.A. community and helped to reshape the cultural zeitgeist beyond the antiquated paradigms that currently plague academia:

After graduating from UCSB, Julian plans to teach English as a second language to Korean children. From there, he will embed himself in the world of cutting-edge technology and (desperately) seek out compensation for his writings on the subject. Failing that, he will sell you coffee at Starbucks and misspell your name on the cup.
